UAE Embassy Rescues 34 Citizens in the US as Hurricane Strikes

During the fierce Hurricane Idalia’s assault on Tampa, Florida, the UAE Embassy in Washington swiftly came to the aid of 34 Emirati citizens, ensuring their safety by relocating them to secure areas. This powerful hurricane wreaked havoc as it made landfall, causing widespread flooding, toppling trees, and disrupting power supplies.

Yousef Mana Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the US, emphasized that the embassy left no stone unturned in safeguarding Emiratis. Sixteen individuals were evacuated to Miami, while 18 found refuge in Atlanta.

The embassy also advised all citizens to exercise caution and steer clear of hurricane-affected regions while following local authorities’ guidance. In case of emergencies, Emiratis can contact authorities at 0097180024.
