Salam Air’s announcement comes as a beacon of hope for Indian expats and travelers, who’ve been grappling with high airfares lately. This service, connecting Fujairah and Kozhikode via Muscat, will be operational on Mondays and Wednesdays starting this October.The first flight departs from Fujairah at 7.50 pm, arriving in Kozhikode at 3.20 am, encompassing a six-hour journey, including a brief layover in Muscat.Alternatively, there’s a second flight departing from Fujairah at 10.20 am, with a longer layover of 11 hours and 10 minutes in Muscat, making the total journey duration 15 hours and 30 minutes. For those on this flight, an e-visa can be applied online if you wish to explore Muscat during the layover.
Departing from Kozhikode at 4.20 am, you’ll touch down in Fujairah at 9.50 am, with a 2 hour and 45-minute transit in Muscat, and a ticket price of Dh554. The second return flight from Kozhikode at 4.20 am arrives in Fujairah at 7.20 pm, resulting in a total flying time of 16 hours and 30 minutes, including a stopover of 12 hours and 15 minutes in Muscat.SalamAir has certainly upped the game, not just with these flights but also by expanding its services. They’ve introduced four weekly flights from Fujairah to several cities, including Trivandrum, Riyadh, Bangkok, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo, Jaipur, Karachi, Salalah, Lucknow, and Sialkot, since July.
