Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA), has unveiled ‘The Climate Tribe,’ a new social enterprise in the UAE dedicated to encouraging climate action through engaging stories and community involvement. Bridging local and global efforts, The Climate Tribe aims to inspire the UAE community while showcasing sustainable practices and natural wonders of the Middle East. The initiative comprises a multimedia platform, large-scale events, and workshops, with more elements to be introduced in early 2024.

Sheikha Shamma emphasized the importance of sharing untold stories of individuals making a positive impact in their communities. The Climate Tribe seeks to create a digital and physical space where such journeys are shared to inspire others. This launch, held in New York City during the United Nations General Assembly and Climate Week NYC 2023, signifies the global significance of climate action. The Climate Tribe’s immersive approach, which includes workshops and community engagement, aims to empower individuals and communities, making a significant contribution to the global fight against climate change and sustainable development.
