The UAE has achieved a record half-year non-oil foreign trade figure in 2023, with trade surging to Dh1.239 trillion. This marks an 11.9% increase compared to the same period in 2022 and surpasses the total non-oil exports for the entire year of 2017. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum predicts that the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade will reach Dh2.5 trillion by the end of this year and aims to reach Dh4 trillion by 2031. The growth in non-oil exports, particularly with the UAE’s top 10 global trading partners, has been significant, with a 22% increase this year.

This achievement is attributed to the UAE’s balanced and positive foreign policies, as well as the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) program. The UAE’s non-oil exports with its top 10 global trading partners experienced a substantial 22% increase this year. Particularly noteworthy was the impressive 87% increase in trade with Turkey within just one year. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, underscored the significance of this achievement in the context of the nation’s economic growth and diversification goals. He attributed these results to the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) program, which has strengthened the UAE’s ties with key markets worldwide.
