SalamAir, known as Oman’s first budget airline, has confirmed the suspension of its flights to and from India, starting October 1. This decision affects travellers from the UAE as well since SalamAir also operates connections from Fujairah Airport to Jaipur, Lucknow, and Thiruvananthapuram. The airline has been a popular and affordable choice for thousands of Indian expatriates in Oman

Passengers who had made bookings for flights from October 1, 2023, onwards received emails informing them that their reservations with SalamAir are now null and void. However, there’s some relief in the form of promised refunds for these affected travelers. The airline expressed its regret for any inconvenience caused by this decision, which was attributed to limitations in flight rights allocation to India.

SalamAir emphasized its commitment to passenger care throughout this process and assured that full refunds would be provided to those who had made reservations to these Indian destinations. The airline’s decision, while regrettable, was made with the understanding of the challenges faced by travellers , and they aim to mitigate any hardships resulting from the suspension of these flights.
