In Kerala , the licenses of a private bus driver and conductor were suspended for one month by the Gritty Joint Regional Transport Office (RTO). The suspension came in response to a complaint filed by a class 12 girl student from Perumparamba, studying at Iritty Higher Secondary School. The complaint highlighted that the bus did not stop at the designated location where the student was supposed to alight.

The action was initiated by Gritty Joint RTO, B Saju, and resulted in the suspension of the driver, Hareendran, and the conductor, Lieu, who worked on the Vimal bus route between Gritty and Sreekandapuram. The incident occurred when the student was dropped off in a deserted area, approximately 3 kilometers away from her intended stop at Perumparamba bus stop. This measure underscores the importance of ensuring the safety and convenience of students during their daily commute.
