The Sharjah Executive Council, led by the Crown Prince, has introduced a significant measure aimed at easing financial burdens on residents. A decision was issued to grant a 50 percent discount on fines related to municipal violations issued before the announcement of this scheme. This reduction will remain valid for a duration of 90 days, offering relief to individuals and businesses facing penalties for such violations. During the council meeting, various topics concerning the advancement of government services and development projects were discussed, highlighting the commitment to enhancing the emirate’s services and support systems.
The decision also addresses assistance to homeowners impacted by natural disasters in Sharjah, entrusting the Department of Social Services with the responsibility of granting aid to those whose homes were damaged due to such events. The assessment of damage effects will be conducted by the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, and assistance amounts will be determined by the Department of Social Services in accordance with predefined tables. Furthermore, the Council decided to link the Dog Care Centre in Sharjah, which falls under the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, to the Sharjah Sports Council. This multifaceted approach reflects the commitment of the Sharjah Executive Council to bettering the lives of its residents and fostering community well-being.
