Outrage as Teacher Cuts Hair of Eight Girls in Kakinada for Not Braiding Their Hair

In a shocking incident at Sarada Municipal High School in Kakinada, a municipal high school teacher named V. Manga Tayaru sparked outrage by cutting off the hair of eight girl students from Class IX. The reason for this drastic action was that the girls had not worn their hair in plaits. The incident came to light when furious parents filed a strong complaint with the school authorities.

Kakinada District Regional Joint Director and In-Charge DEO G. Nagamani stated, “Social Science teacher Ms. Manga Tayaru allegedly cut the hair of the eight girls in front of the entire classroom. We condemn the act committed by Ms. Manga Tayaru, who has been suspended from service based on a preliminary inquiry report. A detailed inquiry has also been ordered.” This incident has raised concerns about the treatment of students by teachers and has prompted an investigation into the matter.
