LuLu Group Chairman’s Heartfelt Promise : Rs 1 Crore Every Year for Differently Abled Children

In a deeply moving act of kindness, LuLu Group Chairman M.A. Yusuff Ali has announced an annual donation of Rs one crore to an art center that serves differently abled children. What sets this gesture apart is his unwavering promise that this support will continue even after his passing. During an event organized by the Different Arts Centre (DAC) for the unveiling of the Kasargod Diversity Research Centre’s logo, Ali, a Padma Shri awardee, shared his dedication to the cause. He also made an extraordinary donation of Rs 1.5 crore to the DAC, an institute committed to nurturing the artistic talents of differently abled children.

Citing government statistics that reveal more than 8 lakh differently abled children in the state, Ali stressed the social responsibility to ensure these children receive quality education. He stated, “It is our duty to ensure these children have access to quality education, extending beyond the responsibilities of parents or the institute.”

Furthermore, Ali pledged an annual donation of Rs one crore to the DAC during the event and emphasized that this commitment would persist beyond his lifetime. “This institute will receive Rs one crore every year. It will endure even after my passing. I will communicate this to my team and formally document it to guarantee that every January, this amount reaches the institute,” he said.

In response to Ali’s extraordinary generosity, magician Gopinath Muthukad, associated with the DAC, expressed profound gratitude in a social media post.
