Spanning 22 floors and offering a whopping 495,000 square feet of Grade A commercial office space, Uptown Tower has also introduced a variety of retail and dining options, such as allday and Jones the Grocer, creating a vibrant environment for tenants and visitors alike.
Uptown Tower is a significant addition to DMCC’s Uptown Dubai district, set to feature seven mid-rise towers and two iconic supertall towers. This development aims to redefine mixed-use living by offering a diverse range of experiences, from shopping and dining to luxury hotels and sustainable living. The tower’s inauguration enhances DMCC’s business district’s overall capacity, attracting a record number of new businesses from around the world. In 2022, DMCC welcomed 3,049 new members, and the first half of 2023 has continued to show strong performance with 1,456 new businesses choosing Dubai as their base.
Beyond its impressive skyline, Uptown Tower plays a crucial role in reinforcing Dubai’s status as a global commodities hub, particularly in diamonds, hydrocarbons, and metals. The tower has also attracted global tech giants like Hikvision, showcasing DMCC’s appeal for tech companies and highlighting the growing Chinese investment in the UAE. DMCC is currently home to more than 750 Chinese companies, representing over 12% of all Chinese businesses registered in the UAE. Additionally, DMCC has initiated the sale of its branded residences within Uptown Tower, SO/ Uptown Dubai Residences, with a substantial number of units already snapped up. These residences complement the upcoming launch of the first SO/ hotel in the Middle East, spanning 10 floors of the tower and adding to Dubai’s reputation as a dynamic and forward-looking city.
