Mumbai International Airport, also known as Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, is gearing up for a temporary closure of two of its runways as part of its annual post-monsoon contingency plan. On October 17, 2023, from 11 am to 5 pm local time, runways RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32 will be temporarily closed to facilitate repair and maintenance work.

Airport authorities have diligently informed airlines and stakeholders about this planned closure six months in advance. This proactive approach aims to minimize disruptions while ensuring the safety and efficiency of the airport’s operations. Passengers and travelers are advised to check with their respective airlines for any potential impacts on flight schedules during this temporary runway closure.
