Naila Kiani, a fearless mountaineer living in Dubai, has achieved an extraordinary milestone in the world of mountaineering. She reached the summit of Manaslu, an 8,000-meter peak, at 6:15 am (UAE time) on September 21, marking her ninth successful ascent of such a peak. This achievement cements her status as the first mountaineer from the UAE to accomplish this remarkable feat, despite only entering the world of mountaineering two years ago.
Naila’s ascent of Manaslu, which stands at a formidable 8,163 meters (26,781 feet) above sea level, was an arduous 12-hour climb overnight, facing unpredictable weather, treacherous terrain, and avalanche risks. Her journey demonstrates her unwavering dedication to excellence and her determination to push the limits of human endurance, with support from the Bard Foundation. To complete her mission by reaching the final three peaks starting in April 2024, Naila is actively seeking sponsorship support, promising an extraordinary next chapter in her journey.
